Tatting
I’ve been tatting for over 15 years, and I started designing lace in 2012, when I felt that the available designs had too many frills. Over time, I’ve come to appreciate traditional design more and more and now my creations contain inspiration from multiple styles of tatting. I particularly enjoy lace with a geometric elements. Over the past two years my work has been primarily centered around designing geometric labyrinths (often dubbed “magic squares”) and tessellations in lace design.
My Etsy store, opened in 2017, is a constantly growing resource of detailed tatting patterns and diagrams for creating small motifs, holiday ornaments, and botanical designs.
I am currently in the process of re-organizing and publishing my free tatting patterns to this website. In the meantime, you can access the former Urban Knot Design tatting website, pattern library, and blog by clicking the button below:

The Mpingo Coloring Book
I was Inspired to create The Mpingo Coloring Book by my volunteer work in Tanzania with Daraja Music Initiative teaching music, promoting sustainability, and planting trees in the community. With the book's publication and distribution I hope to inspire musicians, music appreciators, music educators, and nature enthusiasts to protect the future of the Mpingo tree. All revenue from book sales contribute to environmental conservation and music education in Tanzania with the Daraja Music Initative.
